Signing in

How you sign in depends on how your admin set CostCapper up:

• Google or Microsoft: use the button on the sign-in page and sign in as you normally do at work.
• Email link: enter your work address and choose Email me a sign-in link. Open the link within 15 minutes, on any device, and choose Sign in. Each link works once. Nothing arriving? Check your spam folder, then ask your admin whether your address or domain is allowed.
• Password: if your admin gave you one, open Sign in with a password and use your email address as the user name. You'll choose your own password the first time.

You stay signed in for 12 hours.

The certificate warning

Until your admin gives CostCapper its own certificate, browsers warn that the connection isn't private, because the appliance made its own. Your admin can confirm it's expected.

First sign-in on a new appliance (admins)

Sign in as admin with the appliance's EC2 instance ID (shown in the CloudFormation stack's outputs) as the password. You'll be asked to choose a new password, then setup starts.
